Katy MacDonald, Owner, LMHC, PMH-C
Katy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the owner of Andover Therapy Services. Since 2012, she has worked with adolescents and adults in the Boston area, providing compassionate, evidence-based care for a wide range of mental health conditions.
Katy has a particular passion for supporting individuals and families in the perinatal period. She offers specialized treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, as well as the emotional challenges that can arise from infertility, grief and loss, birth trauma, relationship strain, and parent–child attachment difficulties.
Her integrative approach draws from Ego-Parts Work, EMDR, CBT, ERP, mindfulness, positive psychology, and DBT. Katy helps clients identify and work through past relational wounds and internalized beliefs that continue to impact their present well-being. She completed advanced EMDR training (Parts 1 & 2) with a focus on the perinatal population through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
Above all, Katy is dedicated to validating her clients’ experiences and creating a safe, supportive space for growth. She says, “Together, we will manage your scary thoughts, regulate your emotions, and use your strengths to build confidence and help you feel like yourself again.”
