Hayley Pare, M.A., Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Intern)
Graduate Intern, Merrimack College

Hayley Pare is a master’s-level clinical intern completing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College. She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work and is dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s most tender and transitional moments.

Before beginning her training as a therapist, Hayley worked in case management at Lawrence District Court, helping adults access substance use treatment and navigate community-based services. This work deepened her understanding of systemic barriers, the complexity of recovery, and the lasting impact of trauma on individuals and families.

As a mother of two young daughters, Hayley has a special interest in perinatal mental health. She believes the transition to parenthood can stir early attachment wounds and unresolved trauma, and she is committed to creating a safe, attuned space for clients to explore and heal.

Her clinical approach is person-centered and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ego parts work, polyvagal-informed therapy, and developmental psychology. Hayley welcomes clients from all backgrounds and identities, approaching each with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
