Devontá is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, adults, and families through mental health and medical challenges. His practice emphasizes meeting clients where they are, empowering them to recognize resilience, and guiding them toward meaningful change.
Devontá has broad experience in community mental health, hospital, and residential settings. Devontá is skilled at navigating family systems and helping clients feel safe and understood. He uses client-centered and trauma-informed practices to help individuals process difficult experiences while drawing on their strengths.
Most recently, Devontá has developed a special interest in perinatal mental health, with a focus on supporting fathers. He is passionate about addressing the unique and often overlooked needs of men as they transition into parenthood, including grief, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and the impact of pregnancy-related complications. His goal is to create supportive spaces where fathers can process emotions, strengthen their identity, and deepen family connections.
